COSCO SHIPPING Lines Co., Ltd (hereinafter referred to as COSCO SHIPPING Lines), headquartered in Shanghai, is an enterprise specially engaged in international and domestic container shipping and related services. Its predecessor is the former COSCO Container Lines Co., Ltd established on Nov. 11, 1997.

      Registered at A-428, Lin Gang Management Service Center, No. 188, Yesheng Road, China (Shanghai) Free-trade Experimental Area, COSCO SHIPPING Lines has a total registered capital of 15.96 billion Yuan.

      Business scope of the company covers international and domestic container shipping, slot booking, ship leasing, ship trading, supplies of ship materials, spare parts, foods and fuels, shipping-related businesses and shore-based industry, domestic coastal cargo shipping and ship agency, communications service, seamen labor dispatch, warehousing and multi-modal transportation, shipping business from opening ports in mainland China to Hong Kong and Macao, common ships and container feeder lines shipping in coastal areas, middle and lower reaches of Yangtze River and Pearl River Delta Region, cargo and technology import & export business, e-commerce (excluding value-added telecom and financial businesses), business consultation (except brokerage).       In accordance with the overall arrangements of reform and restructuring made by China COSCO Shipping Corporation Limited (hereinafter referred to as COSCO SHIPPING), COSCO Container Lines and China Shipping Container Lines Co. Ltd. entered into a series of container ship and container leasing agreements on March 1, 2016, and implemented business restructuring officially. COSCO Container Lines is renamed into “COSCO SHIPPING Lines Co., Ltd” on Nov.18,2016. According to the investment management system, COSCO SHIPPING Lines is a fully-owned subsidiary of COSCO SHIPPING Holding Co.,Ltd, and is indirectly held by COSCO SHIPPING.

      After restructuring, the operation scale of COSCO SHIPPING Lines was further enlarged, and its service network was better improved.

      By the end of February 2017, the company has a total of 311 container ships (excluding three 8,770-TEU leased ships), with a total carrying capacity of 1.64million TEUs, up 97.6% year-on-year, ranking the fourth place in the world for scale of container fleet. Moreover, the company holds orders for 33 container ships, with a total carrying capacity of 542,776TEUs.

      Currently, COSCO SHIPPING Lines operates 332 international and domestic shipping routes, including 209 international services (including international feeder services), 37 domestic services, 86 Yangtze River and Pearl River shipping services, covering 254 ports in 79 countries and regions worldwide.

      After restructuring, COSCO SHIPPING Lines established a worldwide marketing and service network. 154 branch offices are included in nine domestic offices, namely, Dalian, Tianjin, Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Xiamen, South China, Hainan and Wuhan. Overseas network contains 69 foreign offices in North America, Latin America, Europe, Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Oceania, West Asia and Africa.
